Getting Started
Implementing Velocity Signal is extremely easy. Assuming you already have a brokerage account that can trade Mutual Funds or ETFs, there are only four things you need to get started:
- Knowing how much capital you want to invest when using Velocity Signal.
- Knowing which version of the Velocity Signal system you plan to implement (V1, V2, V3).
- Knowing which Mutual Funds or ETFs you want to trade.
- Knowing the current signal of the Velocity Signal system.
Velocity Signal was created to be used with broad U.S market indices, such as the Nasdaq 100, S&P 500, and Russell 2000. You can learn more about the different Mutual Funds and ETFs based on these indexes by visiting the "What to Trade" section of our web site.
When to Start
It can be a difficult task deciding when to implement a new trading strategy. When you sign up for Velocity Signal our system will either be in a Long, Short, or Cash position. If we happen to be in a Cash position, then your job is easy. Just begin trading once the next trading signal is issued. However, if the Velocity Signal is in a Long or Short position then you have a couple of options. Your first option is to stay on the sidelines until the next signal is issued, or you can choose to invest a smaller portion of your designated trading capital based on the current signal. The amount you choose to invest is entirely up to you, but we would suggest that you be conservative when jumping into a current signal, especially if the signal is trading even or up since it was initiated.
