Our History
Velocity Signal officially began issuing signals in October 2008, but its roots as a dynamic trading system have been around since 2001. Until October 2008, the system that would become Velocity Signal was primarily a signal indicator for proprietary accounts trading futures and commodity contracts. As the markets started to tumble in 2008, it was determined that the time was right to introduce Velocity Signal as a standalone, subscription-based service available to individual investors on the internet.

Our Service
Velocity Signal is an online service that provides subscribers with daily long, short, or cash stock market timing signals for the Nasdaq 100, S&P 500, and Russell 2000 indices. We communicate by email or through our "Members Only" section of the web site. The signals are derived from a quantitative-based mathematical algorithm that incorporates more than 45 triggers and data streams. The Velocity Signal methodology was developed to anticipate directional changes in the markets; the net result is a system that measures the current strength or weakness of the market. Velocity Signal significantly reduces overall market risk compared to a traditional buy and hold strategy using index funds or ETFs.

Futures/derivatives trading involves significant risk of loss and is not suitable for all investors.

Our Management
Matthew F. Slaton is the founder, President, and CEO of Slaton Capital Advisors Ltd., which is the parent company of Velocity Signal. Mr. Slaton has been an active trader since 2001 and involved with the financial services industry since 2005.

Mr. Slaton is also President and CEO of Slaton Capital Management, and the founder and Managing Partner of Birchbrook Group Corp. Slaton Capital Management is a Commodity Trading Advisor and Commodity Pool Operator registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and a member of the National Futures Association (NFA). Birchbrook Group is a boutique business management and outsourcing firm that was started in 2001.

Mr. Slaton graduated from the University of North Texas in 2000 where he earned a Bachelor in Business Administration degree in Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management.
